How often do you take time out for your self? It can seem hard to find the space and time to prioritise ‘being’ rather than ‘doing’ but in my experience scheduling a couple of retreats per year has a profound personal impact. Such investment supports and invites a deep sense of wellbeing. If you are wanting to find some balance and self-care here’s a heads up to give you plenty of planning time to fit in this midwinter retreat ‘Nourish and Nurture’.
My good friend and highly experience yoga colleague Karla Brodie from Auckland is my collaborator. We have been aligning our teaching for some time and wanting to create a residential retreat after the successful Hibernation Relaxation weekend we ran in 2016.
The beautiful yoga studio at Kimi Ora Health Resort in Kaiterteri is all booked along with a mix of units, rooms and chalets to accommodate different budgets and needs. The weekend to check in your diary is 30th June-2nd July 2017.
Prioritise some self-care and book in for a weekend of yoga, somatic inquiry, restorative yoga and yoga nidra. We have organised a nourishing and delicious menu of vegetarian food and nurturing practices that will help you to tune into some gentle energising as well as peace and quiet for yourself.
I’ve been using Kimi Ora as a wellbeing holiday myself for more than 10 years and have always wanted to bring fellow yogis there for some healing time out. It is situated in the most spectacular serene setting , on a forest clad hill overlooking Kaiterteri beach; just a stones throw away from the famous Abel Tasman National Park. There are some lovely walks as well as biking to be done if you want to do more than the yoga.
This weekend is open to groups, couples or folk wanting to be by themselves. The focus will be on the quiet energy of winter to mentally pause, breathe and move in a way that honours your own unique body and needs.
